VL - FUNDAMENTALS OF VISUAL LANGUAGE
This session was based on how we visualise things around us or would if we don't limit ourselves.
ELEMENTS OF VISUAL LANGUAGE

THEME~ CLOUDS WITH DOTS
Here we represented clouds with dots. When I started this I wasn’t really sure about what am I going to Actually make but I definitely loved the outcome. I used different kind of pencils(2B,6B,8B, charcoal pencils). I tried different tones and even tried overlapping the dots to make it a little more interesting.

THEME~CONFUSION THROUGH RECTANGLES & SQUARES
Here we had to depict confusion with rectangles and squares. Honestly I myself got a little puzzled up while making this one but I loved the outcome and Definitely it was confusing but very interesting. I experimented with a lot of mediums in this one I used my micro-tip pens, pencilsAnd even markers. I overlapped the squares and rectangles to make it a bit more interesting and very confusing.

THEME: CUBES THROUGH DOTS
This was the most interesting part for me at least, a little weird right? That’s because I love cubes and so do this activity. I experimented with waterproof Inc in this activity, I never really tried working with ink before then this but I did enjoy it a lot I felt like I was actually painting and because of that, I could sense the comfort level I have with paints.

THEME~LINES WITH SQUARES & RECTANGLES
I never thought that lines can be depicted through squares and rectangles, in fact, I never thought that lines can be represented in this way, I enjoyed and tried to represent my visualisation on my sheet. I experimented with micro-tip pens in This activity and realised that I am way too obsessed with 0.8 Micro-tip pens. I tried filling colour in the whole square, Like a chessboard and even overlapping, personally, my favourite was the overlapping one.

THEME:ECLIPSE THROUGH RECTANGLES & SQUARES~
This one was knowledgeable for me. You must be thinking why? Because I actually don’t know what exactly an eclipse shape is.Thanks to Kishore sir and Josh sir, Who made me realise that such a shape does exist. I Made all of them using ink and not the medium than that.
CLOUDS WITH DOTS

In this activity, we had to represent clouds with dots. Kishore sir & josh sir wanted us to visualise that cloud. I remember both of them saying “Balcony mai jao and cloud dhang se dekhke aayo, fresh air leke aayo”.
I tried a lot of clouds before this but when I was making this I exactly didn’t know what it’s going to look like at the end or what am I exactly doing But I was just playing with the dots And at the last, The only thing I could remember was being all excited to showcase my work to Josh sir and Kishore sir and getting my very first hi-fi from them.
I experimented with different tone variations, micro-tip pens, Different HB pencils, charcoal pencils And definitely dots. And At the end, I finally completed my cloud!!
DAILY DRAWING DOCUMENT(DDD)
As the name says we were told to make kitchen utensils every day after our class, no limitations on the no of pages but supposed to make explore different angles. Honestly, I have never made something like this ever before in my life, I have never been that flexible about the sort of drawings or paintings I made but drawing something like kitchen utensils was a totally an experiment Plus finding different angles, I only mastered clicking pictures from different angles but Nagar drawing something from different angles. At first, I got annoyed and lost all the energy to complete it every day but although somehow I tried and I won’t say a lot but I surely can say that I improved, now I can finally find different angles and hopefully would improve a lot. But this session made me realise how “practice makes a man perfect”.
The main challenge for me was to find different angles, I experimented a lot while finding angles the only constant thing in my mind was “harr jagah se toh same lag raha hai”.
For me, this bread toaster sketch was the most effective drawing and by most effective, I mean that I could finally explore different angles plus I could see improvement in the time I took to complete a particular sketch.
For me this was the least effective drawing and by least effective ,I mean that maybe it’s prettier than my most effective drawing but it indeed took me more time because the constant thought for me at that time was to make it look “perfect” , I really did not see how longer it took to draw that Plus I couldn’t really explore a lot of angles.
DESIGN VOCABULARY
HK(hum khush): This was Kishore sir & josh sir code language word “HK” Which meant “Hum Kush” And hearing that after putting hard work on Making something was the best feeling ever.
Dil mange more: These three words was one of the major reason for most of us behind improving and showing our work again to Kishore sir and josh sir. Every single time Josh sir and Kishore sir Felt that we are limiting ourselves and can do a lot better, They just motivated us by saying “dil mange more”.
Hi-fi: I never thought a hi-fi can make a person that happy, you must be wondering why I’m saying this, right? Trust me this word was the most delightful word for all of us for the past two weeks, The only word we wanted to hear and get After completing our work and definitely Brightened our day and made all that hard work worth it.
MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE
this session was full of experiments and a fun one, there were no boundaries or limitations for us. We visualised things like we never could. Filled with
“hi-fi’s”,” Dil Mange More” and “HK”.
This session made me experiment with a lot of things whether it would be Different pencils, mediums, angles and whatnot. Looking forward to such amazing sessions in future too.
THANK YOU,HAVE A GREAT DAY!
